Wednesday Wonders

I wonder what inspired this as an entry in WikiHow?

Is it so hard to love unconditionally that we need a "how-to" on it?  I know I've had my own fair share of heartbreaks, and I know that after each one I say "I'm never giving my heart to anyone again, it's not worth it... romantically or otherwise!"  but that never really works.

Love is patient, kind, etc... we've all heard that verse before.  The article in Wikipedia makes some good poitns- Love is an action, it is not one-size-fits-all, and we need to love ourselves unconditionally, as much as we love others. (I know I'm SERIOUSLY guilty of not following that last one!)

It's interesting that "Forgive" is one of the steps... definately some good food for thought here.  There's so much more I'd like to write about, but it would take more than my 15 minute break to do so... perhaps later tonight...

Wednesday Wonders

Oh, Coffee, how I love you!  (I wonder when this happened?)

The first time we met I was in 7th grade, and we had a test in Biology.  I figured I'd get some extra "umph" after staying up all night reading a Nancy Drew book, and you literally drove me crazy with jitters.  For many years after that, it was a love-hate relationship, and I avoided you as much as possible.

Camping at Moses Lake, watching the sunrise, was when I discovered the glory of flavored creamers.  This made me realize that you weren't so bad... then mochas... mmmmm, chocolate....  Camping at Fort Stevens, a Snickers Mocha from Fred Meyer... YUM!

You'd think I would have toiled with you more in college, but I didn't... stayed away from you, mostly.  It wasn't until I really got into swing dancing that I started to crave that extra boost of energy.

And then the Cinnamon Dolce Latte came along.  I was a gonner, hooked on you for life.  I love you- crave you!  I know there was a stint with a Marble Mocha Machiatto too, but the CDL won my heart.

*happy sigh*
