I have joined a fitness challenge, and I am super excited! The blog is great, I'm sure I've posted something about it somewhere before, and if I haven't, then I should have!!!
He & She Eat Clean has lots of tips, tricks, recipes, and inspirational posts, and they put together some neat little 30 minute workouts. They also have a premium workout, which I did purchase, and have been pretty happy reading the exercises and planning my gym-time. They have an at-home version too, but I am looking forward to an excuse to hit that gym and hit it hard. My C25K training must start no later than this week too if I want to be on track for the Hot Chocolate 5K in March so, as the title says, "Let the Games Being!"
I'm also wondering whether or not to invest in one of those techy-gadget body monitoring systems, be it the body bug, the fitbit, or bodymedia. All seem to have their advantages and disadvantages, the biggest I've heard being the body bug is falling out of style/preference, the fitbit is convenient but not as accurate as the bodymedia, and the bodymedia is accurate but annoying to get used to wearing. I'm leaning heavily towards the fitbit, mostly because I want something that I can wear inconspicuously throughout the day that will be mostly accurate and be able to not only track my calories/steps/activity but also my sleep habits, without being big and bulky. I'm sure that I'd manage to rid myself of the bodymedia while still tossing and turning in my sleep, to where the fitbit rests easily in a wristband.
Let me be clear, this is not a New Year's Resolution. I fail miserably at those. This is just a timely beginning for life-changes. I've said that before. I even started a workout/weightloss motivation blog on a different website, but meh-I'm tired of maintaining a million, compartmentalized blogs. This is gonna get most of the traffic from here on out, save exception of http://myinspirationalstories.blogspot.com. I might hyperlink posts from one to the other, on occasion, but for the most part, one will be separate from the other. Stanley Stories, Painted Beauty, they can all go here.
I leave you with a few quotes for the day, these are good ones - I just put them into my calendar to keep me focused!
"Dwell in possibility" ~Emily Dickenson
"Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." ~Psalm 90:12
On that note, I bid you good day!
