Meltdown.

Everyone now and then a person needs a good cry.  Tonight, I had a freaking hard, good cry.

Katie left for Canada.
Ben's leaving this weekend for North Dakota.
I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired, and I really thought I was done with it.
I was trying to get ready for Alissa's bachelorette party in my new little black dress, with my new sassy belt and my new ankle boots, I had this great vision in my head of how my hair would be fun, piled in curls on top of my head...

... and then I started to get ready.  Shower, check.  Shaved the legs, check.  Curling creme & gel in hair, check, blow dry curls, check.  Start sweating so bad that you can't tell I've even dried my hair?  Check.  Dammit.  Moisturizer, make up, all a moot point.

Then I started crying just a little bit, and Stanley - in his efforts to make me feel better - dove onto my head, pulling my hair, and that was that.

*heavy sigh* sniffle*

I wish I could be at club Allure with Alissa, Moe, & Annie, and everyone.  I can't believe I'm missing Liss's bachelorette party.

Where Did the Week Go?

I am sure glad I don't have guitar on Monday, because I thought today was Wednesday... I would have had even less time to practice before embarassing myself with the scales that I have avoided for the last few weeks.

It wasn't until one of my claimants said something about today being Thursday that I realized I'd been thinking it was Wednesday.  All. Day. Long.

*shaking my head*

I'm pretty sure it's the curry-coma that is to blame.  My friend took me to Gateway to India for their lunch buffet, and both of us were pretty much zombies the rest of the day.  It was sooo good though, I must say that I was very impressed.  Usually I'm not a fan of curries or Indian food much at all, except deliciously simple basmati rice, but this stuff was fantastic, and I want to take all of you there!  Really- before choir on Tuesdays, it should be a regular dinner spot.  *grin*

Thursday evening.  That means tomorrow's Friday.  That means tomorrow is the kick-off for Camp Balboa Seattle

I am so NOT in shape for this much bal, but what-the-heck, I'll make it work.
