Oh, Curse the Chick Flicks.

I used to absolutely love them.  Then I hated them, which is when I started getting into all the crime scene dramas.  No need for drama-romance, just the mystery-drama-whodunnit.

I've slowly been watching chick flicks again, "feel good" movies... tonight, my poison of choice was Valentine's Day.  It's a really cute movie, and if it wasn't for all the happy, lovey-dovey, gooey Hollywood false hopes that it portrays, I would really like it.  Awe, who am I kidding- there's definately a part of me that likes it.

Just a part of me.

The other part of me remembers Zach.  David.  Sean.  Gary.  Rejection.  Lies.  Pain.

And yet, I still miss being in love.
(how sick is that?)

I Sing You to Me

As I'm sure I've mentioned about a million times before, I absolutely love quotes.  This was the Compendium weekly inspiring quote, and it pretty much sums up EXACTLY what I'm looking to be for someone else, and looking for someone to be for me.

To love a person is to learn the song that is in their heart and to sing it to them when they have forgotten.

-Unknown

It also reminds me of the movie Australia, how the little boy always says "I sing you to me!"

So, to whomever my someone might be, "I sing you to me.  I promise to love you and learn the song in your heart so that we might sing a duet for the rest of our lives."

A Quiet, White Night

The softest silence envelops the night as sparkling snowflakes fall
and fresh snow tucks everything in, under the blanket of delicate calm.
Dancing swirls are illuminated under the street light,
just as if they were painted in mid-air, and the wind whispers a lullaby:
"Shhh, shhhh, hush-a-bye.  Rest your head, and close your eyes.
I'm playing among the branches as the trees stand tall,
the twinkling bits of crystaled ice tickle as they fall."
A quiet, white night,
a peaceful sleep before the the morning sunrise.
